Monthly Distribution
Matan B’seter Bambi has a regular monthly distribution of funds to several hundred families in amounts from $130 to $1000.
Pesach/Sukkot Distribution
The holidays are supposed to be a time of happiness but can often be a source of financial stress and despair for people in need. Due to the special demands of the holidays, about 1,000 families receive between $200 – $800, each according to their need. In 5768 (2007-2008) we gave out $700,000 for Pesach and Sukkot alone.

Purim Cards
Every year BAMBI produces unique Purim cards. These cards are a great way to show your appreciation to those closest to you. At the same time, you’ll be performing the mitzvah of Matanos L’evyonim by supporting families in need. Click here to view and purchase this year’s Purim Cards.
Purim Distribution
On Purim one is obligated to give unconditionally to anyone who asks. This is Bambi’s busiest time of year since it comes just before Pesach.
Emergency Fund
There is a special emergency fund for people in dire need of money for rent or utilities, glasses for children, hearing aids, medication or any other medical expenses, refrigerators or washing machines (for large families), etc.
Gemachs – Free Loan Organizations
There are several free loan organizations (gemachs), that operate together with Matan B’seter Bambi. These organizations make interest-free loans available to the needy population.
The following gemachs work together with Matan B’seter Bambi:
- The Mr. Asher Rubin zt”l Gemach
- The Keren Gershon Gemach, funds dedicated to people in order to learn a profession.
- The Sharf Family Gemach
Those who benefit from loans through these gemachs agree to exact payment plans. For example, if someone borrows $1000, they must pay the loan back over a four month period in increments of $250.
We insist on guarantors who will sign additional responsibility on each loan.
Infant and Children’s Clothing Distribution
Donations of new or very gently used children’s clothing enable hundreds of people to warm the hearts and bodies of their infants and children. These beautiful clothes are sent to the poorest of communities in Jerusalem and the outlying areas. Montreal, Denver, Colorado and many New York City area communities are an integral part of this special project.
